As independent photovoltaic consultant I conducted numerous due diligence projects as lender’s technical, commercial and environmental advisor as well as performed process optimization for thin-film and crystalline-silicon photovoltaic module manufacturers.
During the technical project planning and due-diligence processes (technical assessments) often arise questions regarding quality of all types of PV modules (c-Si, CdTe, CIGS, a-Si), as well as the quality of solar module manufacturing processes. It is in this area that I often have been worked, either with direct clients, or subcontracted with renowned partners since 2009, as an independent Senior Expert and Consultant.
I have a strong background in c-Si, CdTe, CIGS and a-Si based photovoltaics and solar module manufacturing. Furthermore, I have an in-depth knowledge of solar cell physics and module technology, quality management, characterization methods and production processes as well as the related laboratory testing procedures.
As technologist I have worked with the following characterization methods: IV-curve measurement at sun simulators (flash and steady state), IR thermography and EL mapping of pv modules, IV-T, ERDA, SEM, AFM, XRD, XRF, XPS, UPS, PL, IR -spectroscopy, and deposition technologies: PVD (sputtering, coeveporation) and MOCVD. I performed photovoltaic manufacturing and module projects.
